You may well have seen on my blog a little while back a review on a similar looking product. I reviewed the L’oreal Gentle Eye Make-up Remover and didn’t find it very good at all and decided I was definitely going to try this one instead to compare them and see if this one was any good. It cost £5.49 from Superdrug, however I picked mine up on a deal of 2 for £5 which is insane as that’s cheaper than the normal price. You can find this cheaper if you shop around so probably Asda or Wilkinson’s might do it for a bit less.
Onto packaging, it’s identical to the Gentle Eye remover version which isn’t ideal if you’re in a hurry whilst shopping and end up buying the wrong one. It would’ve been nice if say the label was a different colour, just something to make it a little more noticeable that they are different. This one like the other version is suitable for sensitive eyes. I can’t comment on this as my eyes aren’t sensitive, well unless I get eye make-up remover in them, which happens a lot, but that’s not sensitive, that’s stupidity. It also states that it’s non-greasy which I am always intrigued by as I hate greasy eye make-up removers. Waterproof make-up removers include oils as this is the ingredient that dissolves the waterproof make-up so it’s always going to feel a little slimy after. I tried Take The Day Off eye make-up remover by Clinique and it was just awful, slime city. This one however is fine.
You have to shake it before using as the oils tend to separate from the rest of the product. I found that it takes any eye make-up off really well. A couple of cotton pads have to be used if I have heavy make-up on but that’s normal. I find that it doesn’t leave my eyes feeling to greasy, it leaves them feeling hydrated and smooth. There’s nothing worse than taking your slap off and then your eyes feeling tight or sticky from the remover. Waterproof make-up comes off really easily, I find that if I soak a cotton pad and lay it over my eye for about 5 seconds, it lets the product do it’s dissolving business and removes it all a little easier. This one also removes lip products too which is really handy for when you have a super dark lip or a bright red lip.
Aside from the annoyingly shaped packaging, I think all us bloggers have mentioned the annoying shape haven’t we, this product is good. It does the job really well with no unnecessary fanciness, it’s cheap and easy to get hold off. What more could we want?

Can't believe how similar the packaging is to this version though, how silly! xx

November 19, 2013 at 10:55 pmI used their old version of this, and it's my holy grail remover, since I always use waterproof mascara. I haven't seen these version out yet, but that's cause we're always behind the times… I can't wait though – I'm so excited to try them! Haha that's kind of sad!

November 20, 2013 at 9:29 amThat's so strange because we are always slowest to get other make-up like Maybelline and so on. I hope this comes out soon so you can buy it!

November 21, 2013 at 2:48 amI don't know if my skin is sensitive or what, but I've had bad experiences with eye makeup removers because they always sting my eyes… maybe because of the oil, this one won't?
