As you may be aware, I love Halloween and I love trying out different Halloween looks. My favourite looks to do are by far scary, freaky ones. The scarier the better I say. I was asked by Wonderland Wigs if I would like to create a Halloween look using one of their wigs and straight away thought of the creepy doll, Annabelle from the new film The Conjuring.
The wig is called Louisa* and I just made a parting and plaited each side to get the same look as the doll. I’m going to create two other looks with this wig too as I just enjoy experimenting with them so much, was thinking Barbie and maybe zombie Barbie? I’ve never put a wig on before and was rather shocked to see myself with blonde hair, think I’ll definitely be sticking to brunette, haha.
To create this look I started off by applying my scars and I did this using the Ben Nye Nose & Scar Wax and I show how to use it in my How to: Halloween Cuts post. I create one on my chin, cheek and nose and then applied liquid latex over the top to set them. Then using Snazaroo paint in the shade’s Grass Green and White mixed together, I painted this all over my face and neck. The doll is a greyish green shade so I would recommend mixing some black to darken the colours and maybe less green too. Then using another Snazaroo paint in the shade Burgundy, I applied this to my cuts to make them look deeper. Using MAC’s Carbon eyeshadow, I created the smile lines around my mouth and also around the edges of my lips and in the centre as well to make them look a bit rotten. I also used this shade and MAC’S Folie shadow around my eyes and just kept blending it in to create the big black eyes. I applied a NYX eyeliner in White to make my eyes appear a bit bigger and a red lipstick by Lancome to my lips. I also applied the red lipstick in my cuts as well. For blusher I applied MAC’S Breezy to the very apples of my cheeks. And finally at the very end I used MAC’S Carbon again to gently contour my cheeks and also on the sides of my nose.
The wig is a curly long blonde synthetic one and looks so pretty. It parted really well and was easy to plait with minimal tangling or knotting. Although the fringe was a little longer than expected that could just be down to my weird shaped head. It’s a bright blonde shade which is why it will be perfect for a Barbie look too. It also comes with a label attached on how to keep your wig clean and in good condition.
I had so much fun creating this look, my Mum kept telling me to stop looking at her, haha. What do you think of this look? Would you wear this for Halloween?
