Primark Parker Coat | Review

Coat – Primark | Boots – Primark | Jeans – Pull & Bear | Jumper – Next | Scarf – Primark.

I used to always try and buy a new Autumn/Winter coat every year, I then bought a black duffel coat from Dorothy Perkins and loved it so much, come Winter, I could never find another coat I liked as much…that was 4 years ago. I decided it was time for a change, well my Mother decided as she kindly bought this for me, and as we searched the shops, I just couldn’t find anything I liked. I’ve always loved parker coats but always settle for duffel’s instead, not sure why.

Anyway, we wondered into Primark and straight away spotted this one. Everywhere else seemed to not have any size 8’s left however Primark did, Yay! I loved the khaki colour with the black detailing on the pockets, and the gorgeous faux fur rim on the hood. I tried it on and instantly fell in love with it. It has a zip as well as poppers, four pockets, two to keep your hands warm which are chest hight and two bigger pockets that can fit lots of things in and keep your hands warm, they are so handy! Haha, sorry for the pun. I like my coats to be fitted so I was extra pleased when I noticed that there are two toggles at the front where you can tighten the fit around your waist. By the way – The red on the sleeves is my jumper poking through.

Warmth wise it’s so cosy and warm, I actually get excited to put my coat on to go out and never want to take it off, I would sleep in it if I could. It’s not too thick, for me it’s just right – alight Goldie-Locks. If you’re someone who likes to layer their clothes in the A/W months then this coat is perfect as it will keep you warm but not too much that you want to rip your coat off again. I wore it in the awful crazy rain that my area had the other day and although it got wet, the inside stayed very dry and so did the pockets, it was still really warm.

I think it looks great with skinnies, boots and a big chunky scarf, also think woolly hats will look cute with it too. If you’re looking at this coat umming and ahhing as to whether to get it or not, the price tag at £25.00 may sway you, yes you read correctly, the perfect coat for such a decent affordable price. I’m super duper happy with this coat, and thank you Mother for purchasing it for me. I can’t wait to wear it all Winter long.
