If you have a very good memory, you will remember that my friend Hayley bought me this Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette Christmas of 2011. It was an extremely generous Secret Santa present and I’m so grateful she bought it for me. I’ve worn it a tone all throughout 2012 and thought it was about time I actually did a review on it.
PIN IT! PIN IT!I absolutely love this palette. The packaging is so adorable. The cute pink and cream flowery patterns and magnet flip-top lid is so pretty. It looks good in my collection and it’s also quite easy to carry around with as well because it is quite compact. Once you open the lip, there is a little slot where there are three cards on how to create different make-up looks; Day, Classic and a Fashion look. I have never used these personally but it’s a nice touch and would really help someone who’s quite new to make-up and doesn’t really know what to put where.
The eyeshadows are in three rows and again they are labelled by each look; Day, Classic and Fashion. The eyeshadows are really soft and velvety and glide on the eyes without any effort. They are so easy to blend and the best part? They are amazingly pigmented! The swatches in the pictures above are just one sweep and the colour is that intense and pretty. They stay put really well through-out the day but I do recommend using a primer as this will intensify the colour more and help it stay put for longer.
Another great thing about his palette is that the shadows are a mixture or matte and shimmery. Most palettes are mostly one type of finish and hardly the other, but this one has a good mixture. The names of them are really cute too as they are all wedding related. Kiss the Bride, Bouquet Toss and I Do are all matte colours, Un-veil and First Dance are nearly matte but do have the slightest of shimmer and finally Soulmates, Cut the Cake,Honeymoon and First Dance are all quite shimmery and they are beautiful. In the pictures of me wearing them, I have Bouquet Toss across the lid, I Do on the outer half of the lid, First Dance on my crease and under my lower lash line and Soulmates under my brow bone and on the inner corners of my eyes.
Too Faced have an amazing range of these palettes with all different types of looks to choose from and yes, I want them all! They have the Romantic palette (this one) Smokey Eye palette, Natural at Night eye palette, Naked eye palette, Matte eye palette and Natural eye palette which this one, the Natural one, is quite popular amongst YouTubers. The prices vary from £26.00 – £28.00 which sounds a lot but it’s totally worth it. I would definitely buy more. You can buy them in-stores from selected Debenhams or from BeautyBay.
