MAC Select Cover-up Concealer – Review

Even though I am a total zombie right now, my eyelids are actually closing and I nearly fell asleep and fell off my stool, I’m still writing this post as I have been meaning to do this post for an age! It’s the long awaited review on one of my most essential and most loved make-up products, MAC select cover-up concealer.

1 (1)PIN IT!I was first introduced to this product on my make-up course back in May and I have been using it every since. I use it mainly for my under eye circles and any redness. The colour I have is NW20. I was told to always get lighter as you want to highlight under your eyes and a lighter concealer will do that. There’s so many things about this little product that I love!

The consistency of this product is really creamy and doesn’t feel drying at all. This is brilliant for under eye’s because you don’t want it to look cakey and thick. You also don’t want it drying out, because that would look slightly odd. I have dry – very dry skin and it never dries or sits horribly in my skin. It’s just brilliant. You get 10ml of product, but I’m still using the one I bought back in May! The pictures are of my back-up I bought about a month ago which I haven’t used yet.

The thing I love about MAC is that for most of their products, they have a huge range of colours, 17 different shades for this particular product, so no matter what your skin tone, you’ll probably always find a colour that suits you. It’s so convenient that the product is in a tube as well as this means you can squeeze every tiny drop out and then cut it open to scrape out the rest – Yes, we all do it!

The coverage is also amazing! Used once and you can already tell the difference. If your lacking in sleep at the moment like moi and your dark circles are looking rather hideous, it’s really buildable and still doesn’t look heavy. It’s easy to apply with both your finger or using a brush. I like to buff a bit into my forehead with my Real Techniques buffing brush, it makes it look so flawless!

This is one of my top 3 “make-up must haves” that I can’t live without now. I really recommend trying this out. It retails at £14.50 which sounds a lot for a concealer, but considering how long it lasts and how good it is, it’s totally worth it!

Have you tried this concealer? What are your thoughts on the product?
